I think of refugees suffering from deprivation, exhaustion, and the loss of willpower. Except you don't have the added burdens of being a victim and having no hope. These are deep and unforgetable lessons you're getting. This may all sound a bit heavy, but it seems to fit. Phil, you're a survivor!Georgenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4483513314291248298.post-21533063477096759932009-09-18T21:00:45.089-07:002009-09-18T21:00:45.089-07:00The ride profile for Day 6 has already been posted...The ride profile for Day 6 has already been posted...this looks like a really good hard day, the Aubisque for pete's sake! I am surprised at the amount of rain and the temperatures you are dealing with, and worry that I would not have brought along enough warmer clothes, thinking that most of the ride would be in the 80s...ran into rain once on my Italian trip, and was freezin after a long descent, I can still remember how good the hot shower felt.....But you have had to overcome exponentially higher levels of adversity, and you are doing it with gusto! I like the C groupers passing the Bs, and the hot soups and hot chocolates along the way, these are the moments we treasure...we will have much to discuss at Starbucks over toffee nut lattes with soy..I hope someone was taking pictures....Lancenoreply@blogger.com
