The Comeback: Seagull Century 2009

Many said it couldnt be done...but 6 weeks to the day after suffering a major accident on the Millenium Trail, our favorite ride was back in the thick of things, starting and finishing the Seagull Century (Metric), 62 miles of windblown riding, wet, warm, and spectacular! His loyal domestique, Chris Hulick, pulled the whole way, and I clung to his wheel through thick and thin....8300+ riders clogged the roads...and Phil and George kicked ass on the full century 100...all in all a good day for the Montgomery Countians...

Congrats on this epic wind- and titanium-unaided ride and demonstration of true grit. Hard to believe you were cranking 18 mph 5 weeks after cracking a hip. All hale Il Triolissimo! Any time you need a domestique, let me know. (like 3 pm this afternoon, maybe?)

True grit indeed. The rest of us can't complain about aches, cramps, and wind anymore, at least around you! Also, where can I get some of those screws?

Please, please...its an honor to share the road with the likes of the Engine and the man on the new Specialized Expert! I simply refuse to abandon! Screws are available as part of the $1600 hospital bill for "supplies"....
